Latex fashion advocate Sebastian Cauchos has long been a promoter of everyday latex clothing thanks to his rubber interpretations of classic feminine garments and lines, and it seems that the mainstream media has finally caught up!

Featuring recently in both the New York Post and British newspaper The Sun, Sebastian Cauchos spoke about his hope to bring the heavily “stigmatized material into the mainstream” – now that sounds familiar to us!
“I always wondered why latex had to be such a taboo material while you can make very elegant outfits with it,” described Cauchos, who has been working with latex and rubber since he was a student. The Netherland based latex designer, and photographer, has long produced a chic collection of latex cardigans, blouses, turtlenecks, pencil skirts and made-to-measure polos and T-shirts, and his Instagram profile is full of such examples:
Sebastian also commented that “there are numerous latex designers nowadays, but the one thing that distinguishes my work from all the others is that I make modest and conservative fashion of latex.” The “modest fashion-activist” warned prospective office workers to avoid the “cliche that latex has to be sexy, kinky, body shape revealing” because “this what everybody else already does.”
We can’t wait to see more latex clothing in the workplace and hope that Sebastian can be a trailblazer for the revolution.
