World-renowned and multi-award-winning Altanta based latex fashion designers Dawnamatrix are well respected within the industry having been worn by celebrities including Katy Perry, Kylie Jenner, Pink, and Beyonce. Given that a number of their clients only come in contact with them via their website, it was essential for Dawnamatrix Latex to re-launch a new and improved website over at www.dawnamatrix.com.
Posting on their website blog, Dawnamatrix Latex owners Dawn Mostow and Ben Gould commented on the revamped design and look of the site:
“When it comes to one’s Internet presence, be one an alternative fashion designer or a dentist, one needs to have, at the very least, a net presence that’s up-to-date, easy to access, and reflects one’s abilities. In our case, a good percentage of our visitors, bespoke latex customers, fans, and friends alike, only ever come in contact with us via our website…And for us, especially that ability to ‘see’ our wardrobe choices, costumes, latex accessories, and the many outfits we make was most important; the visual component to what we present always needs be very compelling.”
The designers then go on to comment:
“This time around, we were also concerned with how the site loaded and appeared to users coming to us via their phone or other mobile devices. More and more, we are all ‘going on’ via our phones, on-the-go, far and away from a desktop or laptop. As much as we knew the site had to look good on a big computer monitor or laptop screen, we knew it had to be readily accessible for all the flipping, scrolling, and clicking one does when accessing sites in their hand.”
Dawnamatrix produces a number of latex styles including garments such as their one-of-a-kind latex kimonos and other unique pieces of both vintage couture and futuristic fashion. Having lived and taught in Japan for many years, chief designer Dawn Mostow takes influence from Asian culture and garments to help her design the brands bespoke and diverse latex fashion garments. Dawn describes the brands’ ethos as “It is my goal to showcase the range of possibilities available when creating garments in latex, and to infuse the designs with self-expression, romance, sensuality, and strength.” And who are we to argue with that?
