London based designer Harri has consistently pushed the limits of what is possible to accomplish and create with latex clothing. His inflatable latex designs have been synonymous with decisive conversations and varied opinions but they have, without a doubt, contributed to the designers success. With his latest ready to wear collection, launched during the prestigious London Fashion Week, Harri has taken a more approachable and accessible style for what is his first ‘Ready to Wear’ range.

This ethos and character is echoed by Harri himself, commenting that “This season feels different. Not because we set out for a spectacle, but because we set out to share”, a clear intention to maybe tone down some of the previous exuberance and grandeur to which we have become accustomed. “Our last collection was bold.” Harri continues. “It was sculptural, inflatable, and surreal. People loved it, reposted it, dissected it. But as time went by, we realised something: it also felt like a performance you could only watch, never step into.”

Of course, this is not the first time we have seen Harri at London Fashion Week. Previous Autumn-Winter 2023 and Spring-Summer 2024 collections have both been launched at the annual event. But it is with the launch of the upcoming SS26 RTW range that the Indian born designer has opened his designs to a wider and more inclusive audience.

Aptly named ‘MuseumWear’ (the new collection was launched upon the rooftops London’s Barbican Centre, an iconic performing arts and exhibition venue in the UK capital), the range comprises latex jackets, shirts, tops and bottoms. Harri comments that “It’s our way of bridging the gap between the art you stand back and marvel at, and the art you carry with you, live in, and move through the city with. MuseumWear is for people who wander through galleries, who show up to openings, who stay curious, who absorb culture and add to it in their own quiet ways.”

Whilst the over-exuberant inflatable designs may have been reduced there are still plenty of these creations within ‘MuseumWear’ – eye-catching shoulders and inflatable waistcoats to name but two, but these are contrasted with styled garments which are both versatile and adaptable for regular wearing.

With this latest collection, Harri has further cemented his status within the latex clothing industry as a designer who is willing to adapt and explore new concepts and ideas.
