Paris based clothing brand Avellano returns to the catwalk, after a three-season absence, to debut their Fall Winter 2022-2023 collection and it’s clear that the designers love of latex fashion has only flourished!

French designer, Arthur Avellano, is a graduate of the Toulouse Fine Arts school and it was during his final years there that he discovered latex. Arthur was drawn to the uniqueness of the material, its aesthetic reappropriation and the possible new treatments intrigued him further. The designer commented that “The idea was to move away from the inspirations from fetishist circles strongly associated with latex and towards a fashion treatment with elements of both sportswear and tailoring, creating styles and pieces unlike the use we know,” and to achieve this goal Avellano collaborated with a German research laboratory specialising in latex with a view to making it stronger and above all washable, turning it into a material that could be worn every day. We couldn’t agree more!
The Avellano brand has recently had their latex designs worn by celebrities including Kim Kardashian and Julia Fox.
During Paris Fashion Week Avellano revealed a collection which has evolved. Whereas previous seasons have been predominately male-focused, the upcoming season features more feminine pieces including full-length dresses, cross wrap tops, trousers, jackets and trenchcoats in a pastile colour scheme of greens, pinks, blues and blacks.
