The Return of Sunday Glamour: Welcome to ‘The Sunday Slick’

The Sunday Slick

For many years, Le Boutique Bazaar was THE go-to event for the alternative fashion and latex community, weekends haven’t been quite the same for a while. As the organisers noted, “When Le Boutique Bazaar closed, a particular kind of Sunday disappeared with it”. We lost that beloved weekend ritual: “putting the look on in daylight… Browsing, flirting, posing — and still getting home before midnight”. For years, the event acted as the ultimate melting pot, uniting everyone from veteran dominatrices and fetish models to fresh-faced club kids, newbies and lovers, and fashion students.

But the masterminds behind that iconic era have returned to fill the void with something completely revitalised. Charlotte Heti, Director of Torture Garden, and Alexandra Houston, Founder of Charmskool Showroom: A One-of-a-Kind Shopping Experience and co-founder of Le Boutique Bazaar, are officially bringing daytime dress-up culture back. As the duo perfectly puts it: “Sunday glamour isn’t dead. It just needed a fresh look”.

Enter The Sunday Slick, housed in a stunning, fully refurbished new venue at For Your Eyes Only, London on 10th May. Rather than simply attempting to clone the massive stall-filled halls of the past, the team has created an entirely “new type of event altogether: part munch, part social, part market, part party”.

For fashion lovers eager to show off their latest latex and statement pieces, this curated gathering hits every mark. Attendees can “Expect a tight edit of independent designers, hands-on workshops exploring style and craft, fashion showcases, live performances and dedicated photo spaces designed to properly capture your look” the organisers tell us. Crucially, the organisers emphasise that “this won’t be a vast hall of stalls like LBB”. Instead, the shopping experience is intimately woven into an afternoon primarily focused on “socialising, learning and entertainment”.

The true magic of The Sunday Slick lies in its effortless pacing. As the afternoon unfolds, the tempo naturally shifts: “DJs take over, lights shift, and the atmosphere gradually transitions into an early evening party, wrapping at 10:30pm”. It provides the ultimate balance for the modern fetish fashionista, offering “Enough time to dress up. Enough time to connect. Enough time to dance. And still enough time to function on Monday”.

Need to elevate your wardrobe before your grand debut? The founders highly recommend hitting up the Charmskool Showroom London in person, or shopping online at charmskoolshop.com to snag the perfect statement pieces and fresh styling inspiration.

Get the polish ready—afternoon glamour is officially back on the agenda.
