Berlin based latex clothing brand Chronomatic have recently announced the launch of their newest collection, and we caught up with fashion designer and tailor, Carina to talk about the background and essence behind the new range.

Entitled the Silent Collection, the range is anything but subdued. “Silent does not mean unseen – these pieces are made to captivate with their subtle sophistication and powerful presence.” Carina tells us. “The collection reflects Chronomatic’s signature vision: latex as silky glass on the skin, where modernity and timelessness meet.”, a vision which is clear to see throughout this exciting and innovative new collection.
Chronomatic has continued the long tradition of handcrafting each piece in their Berlin atelier, with each garment from premium natural latex, designed with clean graphic lines and the brands trademark meticulous attention to detail. The designer further highlights “patience, precision, and devotion”, as well as embodying “refined minimalism and timeless elegance” throughout the Silent Collection. This timeless elegance is showcased in abundance with the choice of colour palette for the new range – refined tones such as the beloved Bordeaux, the new, deep colour Aubergine and classic black: each which “conveys quiet strength and understated luxury and which have been chosen for their ability to mix and match seamlessly while adding depth to any wardrobe”, the Chronomatic owner explains to us. Amen to that!
Combining unique and eye-catching garments, covering everything from sleek dresses and versatile skirts to sculptural tops and artistic accessories, each design is created to “accentuate the silhouette and flow seamlessly into your wardrobe.” Bold silhouettes and a minimal design language are the epicentre of the Silent Collection, creating pieces that are both striking and wearable. Further signature styles like the Deep V Bodysuit and the sleek and sublime NU Dress continue this design language whilst “offering statement looks that remain versatile across different occasions.”
Speaking more to us about the Silent Collection, Carina tells us that “our goal with this collection was to design garments that empower through precision and simplicity. Each piece is crafted to highlight form and movement, allowing the materials and cuts to speak for themselves.“ With the design aesthetics of this collection, it is clear that the brand have achieved this goal in abundance.
Examining the collection further it’s clear to see that the team at Chronomatic have created a collection for the sustainable age. “Silent is designed for the long term; Garments that feel modern today while retaining a lasting elegance that endures beyond trends” Carina tells us. With a focus which has always been on accessible and fashion based garments, Chronomatic have once more expanded their reach in the world of latex clothing and we can’t wait to see more.
