Each year the Met Gala raises huge amounts of fundraising cash. The Costume Institute Gala at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art is the biggest event on the fashion fundraising calendar. It’s normal to witness some of the most extravagant and beautifully crafted outfits ever to grace a red carpet and we’re glad to say elements of latex fashion normally feature at some level. The Met Gala 2019 was no different.
Stars of HBO TV series Girls and long term friends, Jemima Kirke and Lena Dunham, were photographed on the red carpet event. Jemima can be seen wearing two Vex latex garments; Vex Opera Gloves and Vex Swim Cap. Lena, on the other hand, opted simply for the Vex Opera Gloves.
Vex Clothing featured the pair, wearing their latex garments, on the brands Instagram profile:
Both items were worn in striking black and were all shined beautifully. We particularly like Lena Dunham’s t-shirt with the word “Rubberist” on it! Nice touch Lena! (and where can we buy one?!)
