Singer Sam Smith attended this evening Brits Award ceremony wearing an eye-catching custom, and unique, inflatable latex outfit from celebrated designer Harri.

Harri, whose full name is Harikrishnan Keezhathil Surendran Pillai, may not be well recognised in his own country yet, but the designer first caught the attention of the British Fashion Council (BFC) back in 2020 when he presented his London College of Fashion graduating collection just weeks before the globe fell into lockdown, and his gravity-defying inflatable latex trousers helped him get shortlisted for the BFC’s NEWGEN initiative.
An innovative and statement piece, Harri’s signature balloon pants allowed the designer to literally stretch the limits of fashion whilst trial and error to find the perfect material eventually allowed him to settle on Supatex latex.
Since then he has presented at London Fashion Week in 2022, and will soon do so during the illustrious event during the second half of February 2023, as well as being featured in Vogue India magazine.
But this time it was clearly the custom outfit designed for Sam Smith for this years Brits which took the spotlight. The all-black outfit featured inflable “doubled-handled vase trousers” and huge shoulder padded top – the outfit proving how versatile and unique latex clothing can be.
