The star, known for her numerous musical theatre appearances, including Spamalot and Into the Woods, and television shows such as Ted Lasso and Game of Thrones, was in attendance at the Venom: The Last Dance UK premiere which took place at the BFI IMAX Waterloo, London. And her choice of a sleek and slender fully black latex gown was firmly on brand, echoing the symbiote suit worn by the titular character in the movie.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Hannah Waddingham wearing our favourite shiny material as she has previously stunned wearing a midi-length latex gown during an appearance on Drag Race UK.
The Ted Lasso star attended the premiere to support her former co-star and close friend, Juno Temple, who plays scientist Dr. Teddy Payne in the film. The duo, who portrayed best friends Rebecca and Keeley in the beloved Apple TV series, delighted onlookers with an animated reunion on the red carpet.
But it was clearly the choice of latex dress worn by Waddingham which drew all the attention on the red carpet. Styled by stylist James Yardley, the plunging black latex maxi dress by couture designer Atsuko Kudo, Waddingham perfectly embodied the film’s dark, edgy energy. The Candy Cup Ariel Gown featured a halter neck design and created a silhouette which accentuated her curves, while strappy heels and shimmering silver jewellery elevated the look with classic Hollywood glamour.
