At the beginning of this year, here at Latex24/7 we made a prediction that we would be witnessing a latex “athleisure” trend in 2025 and clearly iconic sportwear brand adidas must have been listening to us with the recent launch of their new all latex sportswear range.

Whilst latex leisurewear isn’t a new concept, with brands such as Libidex having been producing stylish and versatile varsity jackets for a number of years, and designers Catalyst and Affordable Latex selling a number of garments which are perfect for any workout, this is the first time we’ve seen a mainstream brand such as adidas showcasing a latex sportswear collection.
Currently only available within the US, and presently only within the Women’s Original range, the new sportswear from adidas comprises a number of essential “athleisure” garments which all feature the iconic adidas 3-Stripes logo and branding. With the new range, the German based athletic apparel and footwear business, have taken inspiration from their existing catalogue of t-shirts, leggings and track tops and reinvented them for the world of latex clothing. Classic design elements such as banded colours around the neck and sleeves are present, as is the simple two-tone colour palette we are used to seeing with other adidas apparel.
Available in both black and “better scarlet”, the range comprises a latex bodysuit, leggings and a track top. Descriptions of the products on the brands website highlight the option to pair the leggings “with an oversized tee or a crop top for a look that’s undeniably adidas yet completely new” and the track jacket will be “the jacket you grab when you want to make a statement.” With this latex range it’s clear that adidas are aiming these garments at the fashion market – a sentiment we wholeheartedly support.
