Brand Information
Latex Essence, established in 2005 and based in Lancashire in the United Kingdom were the first company in the UK to bring this technique to the rubber fetish market and apply it to hand made, tailored or moulded latex clothing. We have been professionally chlorinating latex clothing for over 10 years and the techniques involved have been developed to the highest possible degree to ensure all customers the best possible service. We lead the field in this process and with thousands of rubber garments treated and hundreds of happy customers Latex Essence is a name you can trust.
An existing process that is normally used on rubber surgical gloves has been developed, refined and applied to rubber fetish clothing. The chlorination process renders the usually rough and gripping inner surface of the rubber silky smooth and easy to put on without the need to use powder or liquid dressing aids. You may have already experienced this effect if you have worn “powder-free” rubber surgical gloves. The effect on the outer surface can be both startling and unbelievably sensuous.
Nine years ago we released our range of “powder-free” rubber fetish gloves to provide a low-cost introduction for people wanting to try out the effects wonderous process. They proved to be very popular and will be available again soon on our forthcoming updated website.

I had a pair of rubber breeches that had ripped across the balloon massively; Tony repaired them to such high standard you can’t even see the seam on the outside.
Reviewed August 2024
It’s hard to find folks that are able to repair chlorinated latex items, but Tony / Latex Essence is one of them. He really knows his stuff, too; knows all about latex chlorination, its effects, how to work with it, spotting and dealing/advising on signs of wear, and so on.
I had a chlorinated latex suit from which the entry zip had become partially torn away, and the beginnings of some tearing under the arms. Upon sending it to Tony he was able to diagnose the cause of the problem (the zip wasn’t properly glued on, though his explanation was much more detailed), and render a repair. Not only that, he was able to do some reinforcement work under the arms too, including sealing the small tear that was forming. Upon receiving the item back, there was no detectable loss to the silky smooth chlorinated effect, and the suit pretty much looked and felt just like how it was before it was damaged. I simply would not have thought it possible on a chlorinated item, but he did it. Absolute talent.
The price of the repair was extremely reasonable, and the repairs done super quick (I had the item back within a couple of weeks). I’d had to wait a few months with other non-chlorinated latex repairers. Good latex is expensive, latex suits even moreso; with Tony’s help I was able to get a chlorinated suit repaired for a fraction of the cost of replacing it.
Lifesaver. Absolutely recommended. Now my first port of call for chlorinated repairs. I’d like to try out his chlorination service too when I next get a fun item.
