The full-length custom latex catsuit, a collaboration between Vex Clothing and Kurt Molhusen at Artwith Latex, was painstakingly hand-made over a period of two weeks. The rear-zippered blue latex catsuit was manufactured by Vex for Kim Kardashian and paired with a matching set of blue boots.
Artwith Latex, a Dallas based business, are normally known for their handmade latex necklaces but on this occassion the opportunity to re-create such and an iconic X-Men character as Mystique and to work with both each Vex and Kim Kardashian could not be turned down. Each of the blue scales (or ‘blue things’ as Kurt calls them) were hand-crafted as each ‘scale’ was drawn over a traced pattern, a process repeated many hundred times, before being applied to the latex catsuit.
